THE BEAUTY OF THE SOUTHWEST, ITS LANDSCAPE, AND ITS JEWELRY PART 1

I have always loved the jewelry and the designs for the Southwest. If you ever have a chance to travel to this part of the country take 10 days to two weeks and drive around Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Take your time, it is worth every moment that you spend there. The visual sights of this region cannot be matched, and you will never forget the sunsets.

In Southwest Native American jewelry turquoise is mostly used to adorn the pieces. Like the Grand Canyon turquoise is both stunning and beautiful. However, for many decades turquoise stones have been imported from other parts of the world. Usually it is combined with silver or silver like metals and you can find the jewelry designs to range from simple yet elegant to very intricate patterns.

I have a beautiful collection of southwest style jewelry listed on my online store at karasvintagejewelry.etsy.com or if you live in Los Angeles or just visiting over any Sunday I am at the Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax High School.
